We have developed new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting service.  The service takes the activity data already submitted by providers and calculates KPIs.  The KPIs we have implemented are in a KPI Library and users can select those they want to include in their reports.  KPIs can be added to the library on request.

KPILibrary

KPI Library - Shows the KPI title, a more complete description, how many others are using the KPI in their reports and the info icon reveals the specific numerator and denominator contributing to the calculation.

The KPI report is available for hosted providers (ie the ones associated with a user's account either because they belong to that organisation or they commission care from that organisation).

KPI Report

KPI Report - Can be set to show the KPI results for each month from a selected date range. Alongside the results is a comparison graph showing how the selected provider has perfomed compared to others in the selected Region.  Each user can set an upper and lower threshold for the KPIs for each provider and they can set conditional formatting for the when the result breaks through the predefined thresholds.  The thresholds are also shown in the comparison chart (red for upper and blue for lower).

KPI Flip Results

KPI Report - The results can be fliped to show the underlying numerator and denominator value

KPI results are automatically calculated as data submissions are made by providers.  A counter of KPIs being processed is displayed at the top of the report and any uncalculated results will be will be commented in the report as 'calculating...'

Results can be shown by year, half year, quarterly or monthly to help displaying the report on smaller mobile devices.

KPI Report Graph

KPI Report - Selecting Graph in the timeline, will display a graph of the selected provider's performance overtime with the upper and lower thresholds displayed, if they are set, as red and blue lines.  Next to the graph is the selected month's result.

The report can be printed or extracted to MS Excel along with a full definition of the KPIs.
