    Are pre coil swabs recorded as a seperate procedure or as part of the overall coil insertion? I realise that processes vary from clinic to clinic but we see clients 2 weeks prior to fitting for swabs to be taken and then wait for results to come back before going ahead. To me that suggests completing a SHRAD for professional advice and support but adding a T2 diagnosis code at the initial appointment and then indicating coil fit on SHRAD at the 2nd attendance.....is this correct?

    Pre IUD/IUS Swabs - We do similar and also take swabs prior to a IUD/IUS insertion which do not seem to have been accounted for in this pathway - is there a reason for this? should we be coding these swabs differently?

    Remove Chlorhexidine, Instillagel (included in local anaesthetic), dental syringe & needle used in less than 30 % of cases, dilators also used only approx. 30 % of cases
