Dear Sexual Health Commissioners,

Thank you for your attendance to one of the ISHT Commissioner Workshops over the last couple of weeks.   The slides to the presentation given during the workshop can be found here: Commissioner Workshop Output PackSlide Pack

Provider Data Submissions

As emphasised during the workshop, it is imperative that providers submit complete data submissions over the next 6 months, so that we can obtain a clear and accurate picture of the financial impact of ISHT. Individual provider activity charts are included in the workshop presentation and can we please request you to follow up with your providers to improve their data submissions.

As-Is Spend

As discussed during the Commissioner Workshops, we need to collate the top down 'As Is' spend for the 2013/14 financial year. The purpose of this is to compare current spend vesus the ISHT projected spend. To ensure it is comparable we require the following spend values

  • All the contracts you are currently commissioning (GUM services, SRH, Chlamydia screening contracts)
  • Estimate of the proportion of any block contracts linked to sexual health services e.g. diagnostics, condoms, pathology, facilities and estates
  • All the services sexual health are consuming but not paying for in the current sexual health budget
  • Any other departmental overheads
  • If you share contracts with other Local Authorities, estimate the proportion due to your Local Authority based on activity
  • If possible, a breakdown of your out of area spend within London and out of London.

Those of you have that have not done so, please can we request you to complete the Commissioner Survey, which includes the completion of your “As-Is spend”.  Those commissioners that have already completed the survey are also welcome to re-submit a revised version of thier “As-Is spend” in the Commissioner Survey

Commissioning Finance Officers

It is important that we hold a Commissioners Workshop with the relevant Local Authority Finance Officers. Please can we request you to introduce us via email (enquiries@pathwayanalytics.com) relevant individuals we could invite to this workshop.

Best regards
