Our next update includes the following

MFF

An option to change the way MFF is applied.  In recognition that many providers are now offering services outside their home geographic region and that the MFF of the parent organisation no longer reflects the local weighting that might be due to each of its clinics.  We have introduced a Commissioner weighting that allows us to set the MFF of the clinic according to the clinic's Commissioner.

The options are:

1.  Provider MFF (Default):  Provider has one MFF applied to all its clinics.  MFFs are applied for each financial year.

2.  Commissioner MFF: Each clinic adopts an MFF associated with the commissioner of the District it is located in.  A Commissioner can only have one MFF per financial year.  All clinics using the Commissioner MFF option with the same Commissioning District must share the same MFF within a financial year.

3.  Proxy Provider:  A third option exists where we can setup proxy provider organisation that adopts its own MFF.

Below you can see the MFF for each Clinic is now displayed in the Upload wizard for the date of the submission being made and in the My Clinics page where you can select the required financial year.   If you would like to have clinics from the same provider associated with different MFFs according to their Host Commissioner, then please contact us.

Extended Epsiode / Visit Scope

At the request of the London Sexual Health Transformation Project, we have introduced an option to extend the scope of a patient episode / visit.  Previously, each patient episode / visit was based on a common Organisation ID, Clinic ID, Patient ID, Attendance Date (ie the same patient visiting the same clinic on the same day was considered the same patient episode / visit), only one Primary tariff is triggered for each patient episode / visit.

This update introduces a second option that allows us to set a provider with Extended episode / visit scope.  This identifies a single patient episode / visit based upon Organisation ID, Patient ID, Attendance Date (ie a patient can visit any clinic belonging to a provider on the same day and it is considered the same patient episode / visit).  The purpose of this update is to accommodate the hub and spoke infrastructure across London.  Extended epsiode / visit scope is implemented by provider within each tariff configuration so we can can closely control how and where it is implemented.

Usability

For Provider+ subscribers we have added a lookup function to help check clinic codes and their addresses:Clinics.
