There are multiple ways providers can manage online testing charges depending on how the contractual arrangements are setup here are two common scenarios.
Sub-Contracted by the provider to an online provider
Create additional currencies for online testing activity
Create additional currencies for postal interventions if required (using 'M' suffix - medication given)
Consider creating a currency for online kit distribution and collate the data manually from the online providers reports.
Consider creating an Assisted Sample currency to support clients using self-sample kits distributed in-clinic to recieve support from a HCW in taking samples (eg blood samples etc) should they need it.
Provider collates a copy of the online provider's GUMCAD data with field Consultation Media Used = 99
Upload data to the Grouper to collate charges for the host provider
Contracted directly by the Commissioner
In most cases the client will contact the online provider directly. However, the provider may be incentivised to channel shift clients with a online kit distribution currency. In this case, the provider has no insight into the client details - there is no registration of the client and therefore no activity data recorded in the clinic.
